Counselling

We value and respect diversity.

Everyone who wishes to use services is welcome to self-refer, so a referral from your general practitioner or specialist is not necessary.  Referrals are welcome from medical and allied-health professionals who wish to offer more specialised mental-health services to their clients.

We promote health and wellbeing, equip people to begin flourishing in their lives again, to discover their purpose, meaning, and direction in life.

If you are experiencing difficulties with mood, like anxiety and depression, or issues relating to stress, relationships, employment, finances, and health, or you need support through periods of change and transition, or in times of loss and grief, then AGCC the right choice for you.

Gender

A particular area of therapeutic interest for us is gender. Gender influences much of who we have been, who we are, who we are destined to become. Gender shapes our roles as fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters. It influences the nature of many of our relationships in our society, in our families, and in the jobs we choose. Gender politics is never far from our discussions in the media. At Adelaide Gender Counselling & Consulting, we can help you understand and fathom the difficulties we sometimes experience because of gender-related issues.

Adelaide Gender Counselling and Consulting offers a complete WPATH hormone therapy and surgery assessment and referral programme for adolescents and adults experiencing gender dysphoria.

Adolescents

A quickly growing cohort of clients at Adelaide Gender Counselling and Consulting are adolescents experience gender-incongruence. We are especially sensitive to the needs of these young people, their parents, families and friends.
